 Tan Chee Seong (born 1975, Singapore) is a practicing artist and lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic, School of Media and Info-Communication Technology. “Let’s dance forever and a day” – at fill your walls gallery, is his first solo exhibition.

Born into a Singapore working class family, art was not considered a viable career option and circumstances called for Tan Chee Seong to make the pragmatic choice of pursuing a career in engineering rather than that of an artist.

The exhibition features four of Tan Chee Seong’s ongoing series of works covering a number of personal narratives common to contemporary Singaporeans. Ungoverned by formal theories and methodologies, this self-taught artist freely explores mediums and techniques beyond their usual application.  Using photocopied papers and correction pens found at work, to photographs from a weekend outing, his technique incorporates found items which relate to an exploration of identity.
